Forsyth Creek (FOR001)

Hydrometric data are taken at Forsyth Creek (FOR001) at the Elk River FSR bridge, approximately 25km north of Elkford, as part of the Elk River Alliance's Community-based Water Monitoring program (CBWM). This site is monitored by Elk River Alliance as part of the Elk River Monitoring Collaborative as well as the Living Lakes Canada Columbia Basin Water Monitoring Framework (CBWMF). The CBWMF is a coordinated monitoring network that tracks how climate change and other impacts are affecting water supply for communities and ecosystems across the Canadian Columbia Basin region.

Dataset Funding Description The Columbia Basin Trust primarily funds the CBWM Hydrometric program. These programs would not have been possible without the continuing funding from the Trust. Other sources of financing for the CBWM program are generously provided by the BC Government’s Community Gaming Grant, the Real Estate Foundation of BC, the Royal Bank of Canada, the Canadian Wildlife Federation and Living Lakes Canada.
