In May 1994, a program was initiated to characterize the water in creeks in tributary to the Slocan River. The program was sponsored by the Slocan Valley Watershed Alliance in conjunction with Passmore Laboratory Ltd. All of the creeks were sources of domestic water for residents living in the valley and each had a different level of disturbance from logging and other activities.
