Thunder Creek Hydrometric (UKKTHU01H)

This dataset contains hydrometric data for Thunder Creek. This site is part of the Columbia Basin Water Monitoring Framework program (CBWMF). The CBWMF is a coordinated monitoring network that tracks how climate change and other impacts are affecting water supply for communities and ecosystems across the Canadian Columbia Basin region. Monitoring in this watershed also increases the coverage of the "High elevation watersheds that are relatively cold and dry" (Group UKK 13A) which the 2023 CBWMD Data Gap Analysis of the Upper Kootenay Hydrologic Region identified as underrepresented in the pre-existing monitoring network. Within Group UKK 13A, this watershed was identified as a priority by Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi 'it.
