Dennis Creek - Tributary Moitoring Program

In November 2021 eleven temperature data loggers were installed in nine fish bearing streams in the Slocan Lake Watershed including Bonanza Creek, Wragge Creek, Shannon Creek, Wilson Creek, Fitzstubbs Creek, Dennis Creek, Carpenter Creek, Silverton Creek and Slocan River. This project is a partnership between Okanagan Nation Alliance (ONA) and Slocan Lake Stewardship Society (SLSS). The objective was to install temperature data loggers on critical fish bearing streams and tributaries flowing into the Slocan Lake to establish a temperature baseline and create a long-term temperature monitoring program for further analysis of fish habitats in support Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout and Kokanee populations in Slocan Lake.
