Akokli Creek Hydrometric (LCKAKO01H)

This dataset contains hydrometric data for Akokli Creek. This site is part of the Columbia Basin Water Monitoring Framework program (CBWMF). The CBWMF is a coordinated monitoring network that tracks how climate change and other impacts are affecting water supply for communities and ecosystems across the Canadian Columbia Basin region. This site was recommended for monitoring by the Local Reference Group as it is a source of drinking water, and has been identified as fish habitat including for species that have red or blue listed conservation status. Monitoring this site increases the geographic distribution of the network. This stream was monitored by the Water Survey of Canada from 1947 to 1952, allowing for some comparison of historic and current data. Potential impacts to this watershed, as identified by the Local Reference Group, are wildfires and forestry.
