This report provides an integration and initial review of data associated with the North Kootenay Lake Water Monitoring Project (NKLWMP) which is now known as Kootenay Watershed Science (KWS). KWS is a community-driven watershed monitoring program intended to build knowledge that will help keep our communities safe and sustainable in a changing climate.

Data collection info | Data are collected using seven hydrometric stations, two snow courses and three meteorological climate stations installed at various locations around the north end of Kootenay Lake. The hydrometric program includes continuous monitoring of water quantity at seven hydrometric stations. The snow and climate program includes monitoring of snow accumulation at two high-elevation snow courses and air temperature and rainfall at three climate stations. |
